The students of Padmashree Institute of Medical Lab Technology celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. As part of the celebration, the students organized a seed bomb distribution drive at Kengeri Bus Stand to create awareness about the importance of greenery and biodiversity among the public. 

Hundreds of seed bombs were distributed to commuters, local residents, police personnel, bus drivers and conductors  and  several vendors. The seed bombs contained seeds of medicinal plants such as Tulasi (Holy Basil), Amrutabali (Giloy), Amla (Indian Gooseberry), and Senna. These plants were selected for their medicinal value and environmental benefits. Students explained the significance of these plants and encouraged people to throw the seed bombs in open spaces where they could germinate naturally. 

The initiative received a positive response from the public and successfully promoted environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and the importance of preserving medicinal plant species.
