Career Carnival 2025: A Fun-Filled Day of Learning

On April 12, 2025, our campus transformed into a vibrant hub of activity as we hosted the Career Carnival. The event drew enthusiastic students from various PUC colleges, who eagerly participated in the array of engaging activities.

The photo booth captured memorable moments, while the lucky draw sparked excitement. Students also gained valuable insights into health and wellness through blood grouping and a challenge to guess glucose levels.

The Career Carnival provided an ideal platform for students to explore new opportunities, network with peers, and have fun while learning. We’re thrilled with the overwhelming response and look forward to hosting more such events in the future!

Faculty Development Program: Enhancing Communication Skills

On May 31, 2025, our institution organized a Faculty Development Program focusing on the Fluen C app. This interactive session aimed to enhance communication skills among faculty members and students. Participants explored innovative ways to leverage the app’s features, promoting effective expression and comprehension. By upgrading their communication skills, our faculty will foster a more engaging and supportive learning environment, ultimately benefiting our students’ academic journey.

World Environment Day 2025: Spreading Greenery and Awareness

On June 5, 2025, we proudly celebrated World Environment Day by organizing a sapling distribution drive near RR Nagar Metro Station. Our team enthusiastically handed out medicinal saplings to the general public, promoting the importance of environmental conservation and the value of indigenous medicinal plants.

This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the interconnectedness of human health and environmental well-being. By distributing saplings, we encouraged the community to contribute to a greener, healthier future. The event was a resounding success, with numerous participants expressing their appreciation for the initiative. We look forward to continuing our environmental endeavors and inspiring positive change!

International Yoga Day 2025: Finding Inner Balance

On June 21, 2025, our campus came together to celebrate International Yoga Day. Students, faculty, and staff gathered to practice various yoga asanas, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The session emphasized the importance of yoga in daily life, encouraging participants to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle. As we stretched, breathed, and meditated together, we reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing body, mind, and spirit.

Blood Donation Camp: A Life-Saving Effort

Our campus hosted a successful blood donation camp on 11th July, 2025, organized by BMST Blood Bank. The event saw an overwhelming response, with 100 donors generously donating blood. This selfless act will help save numerous lives, supporting patients in need of transfusions. We appreciate the kindness and social responsibility displayed by our donors, and grateful for BMST’s efforts in facilitating this life-saving initiative. Together, we made a difference!

R, Registrar, Dr. Riyaz Basha, S, Registrar (Evaluation)  ,  Prof Rajesh Shenoy, President KAHPA and Prof. Pruthviraj, Dean for Physiotherapy and AHS, RGUHS. A team from Wadhwani Foundation was also present for the inauguration.

AHSCON 2024: A Resounding Success

Padmashree Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology successfully coordinated AHSCON 2024, a prestigious conference organized by Karnataka Allied and Health Care Professionals Association in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and several affiliated universities.

The event took place from February 24 to March 3, 2024, and witnessed an overwhelming participation of 2564 delegates from 22 host institutions. The conference featured 48 workshops, providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and skill development.

The success of AHSCON 2024 underscores the institute’s commitment to promoting excellence in healthcare education and research.

AHSCON 2025: Transforming Allied Health Sciences Through Unity and Innovation

The Allied Health Sciences Conference (AHSCON 2025) emerged as a groundbreaking initiative in India’s healthcare education landscape. As India’s first and largest conference exclusively dedicated to Allied Health Sciences and Physiotherapy, it brought together over 3,000 delegates from across the country, creating an unprecedented platform for knowledge exchange and professional development.

The conference’s success stemmed from its unique approach of integrating multiple Allied Health specialties under one roof. With 20 parallel tracks covering diverse specialties from Medical Laboratory Technology to Physiotherapy, from Cardiac Care to Hospital Administration, AHSCON 2025 created a comprehensive learning environment that reflected the interdisciplinary nature of modern healthcare.

The inaugural ceremony set the tone for excellence with distinguished guests including Dr. Ashwath Narayan C N, former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Dr. Vishal Rao, Dean of HCG CARE. A highlight was the presentation of the KAHPA Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Thuppil Venkatesh, recognizing his pioneering contributions to Laboratory Medicine and Quality Control.

The academic program featured over 100 expert speakers who shared insights across specialties. The conference structure balanced theoretical knowledge with practical applications through  specialized workshops. These sessions provided hands-on experience and skill development opportunities for participants, particularly benefiting students and early-career professionals.

Panel discussions emerged as powerful platforms for addressing crucial topics in healthcare education and practice. The “Open Forum Dialogue” particularly stood out, creating a space for industry-academia interaction and curriculum development discussions. This initiative generated valuable inputs for regulatory bodies and educational institutions.

The conference’s impact extended beyond formal sessions. The exhibition area showcased latest healthcare technologies and innovations, while networking opportunities fostered professional connections and potential collaborations. Cultural programs added a vibrant dimension, celebrating the diversity of participating institutions.

Pre-conference activities, including hospital visits and specialized workshops, provided practical exposure to real-world healthcare settings. These activities, conducted at prestigious institutions like Narayana Heealth and Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, offered unique learning experiences.

AHSCON 2025’s success was amplified by strong institutional support, particularly from S-Vyasa University as the host institution, and collaboration with 12 leading universities. This partnership demonstrated the power of academic collaboration in advancing healthcare education.

The conference also marked significant steps in professional development. Research presentations, poster sessions, and interactive discussions encouraged scholarly activities among participants. Industry participation provided insights into career opportunities and technological advancements in healthcare.

Looking ahead, AHSCON has established itself as a crucial platform for Allied Health Sciences education and practice. The conference’s success has set new benchmarks for professional conferences in healthcare education, creating a model for future events.

The impact of AHSCON 2025 will resonate through improved educational standards, enhanced professional practices, and stronger industry-academia relationships. As Allied Health Sciences continue to evolve, AHSCON stands as a testament to the power of collective effort in advancing healthcare education and practice.

This landmark event not only achieved its immediate objectives but also laid the foundation for future growth in Allied Health Sciences education. The legacy of AHSCON 2025 will continue to inspire excellence and innovation in healthcare education across India.

LABCON 2023

Padmashree Institute of Medical Lab Technology, in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, successfully organised LABCON 2023. This 2 days’ workshop “Good Clinical Laboratory Practices” took place on 25th and 26th February at Padmashree Campus and Padmashree Diagnostics.  

Over 72 delegates participated in these 2 days’ workshop wherein following topics were covered:  

  • Inventory management of Diagnostic Laboratory, (Dr Zubair Hasan, Consultant Pathologist and Lab Head at Healthians , Bangalore) 
  • Infrastructure of a diagnostic laboratory, (Dr Zubair Hasan, Consultant Pathologist and Lab Head at Healthians , Bangalore) 
  • Charts and Tools used in quality control, (Dr Suma, Consultant Biochemist and Lab Adminstrator – Padmashree Diagnostics) 
  • Ethical Considerations in a Diagnostic Laboratory, (Dr Priyadarshini D, Professor of Pathology , Raja Rajeshwari Medical College, Bangalore) 
  • Biomedical waste Management, (Dr Rudresh, Microbiologist ESI, Bangalore) 
  • LIS and Data management in Diagnostic Laboratory, (Dr Thejasvi Krishnamurthy, Professor of Pathology, Kempegowda Institute of Medical sciences, Bangalore) 

Fresher’s Day 2023

On October 29, 2022, the new class of students had a wonderful time celebrating their fresher’s day. They all performed different games while dressing up in movie-themed costumes. This fresher’s day was then followed by the distribution of prizes and mementoes. 

Orientation Day 2022

Orientation Day, which was held on October 17, 2022, welcomed new batches for the BMLT and MMLT courses. The seminar room of the health sciences block hosted the welcoming celebration for the students. The chairman, managing director, deans of AHS and BPT, as well as principals from other PGI universities, all attended the orientation, which further boosted it. After the departmental orientation, guests and students were treated to a delightful lunch. This occasion served as an introduction to the departments and classmates of this fresh batch. 

Graduation Day 2022

On November 1, 2022, the Padmashree Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology successfully held a graduation ceremony. At this graduation ceremony, over 500 graduates from the previous three years were present. Dr. Firoz Bakht Ahmed, a distinguished chief guest and a former chancellor of Moulana Azad National Urdu University, delivered the commencement address. The celebration was further enhanced by the presence of the chairman, managing director, deans of AHS and BPT, as well as principals from several PGI universities.
