Admission B.Sc MLT
Duration of Course:
4 Years
Eligibility:
A candidate seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Course in MLT shall have studied English as one of the principal subject during the tenure of the course.
- Two-year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
Or
- Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by RGUHS, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
Or
- Any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
Or
- The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University Course.
Or
- Candidates with two years diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enroll, in Bsc MLT course shall have passed plus 12 [10+2] with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as subjects or candidates with 3 years diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enroll, in the Bsc MLT course should have studied Physics, Biology and Chemistry as subjects during the tenure of the course.
- Lateral entry to second year for allied health science courses for candidates who have passed diploma program from the Government Boards and recognized by RGUHS, fulfilling the conditions specified above under sl. No. 5 and these students are eligible to take admission on lateral entry system only in the same subject studied at diploma level from the academic year 2008-09 vide RGUHS Notification no. AUTH/AHS/317/2008-09 dated 01.08.2008.
Note:
- The candidate shall have passed individually in each of the subjects.
- Candidates who have completed diploma or vocational course through Correspondence shall not be eligible for any of the courses mentioned above.
Admission M.Sc MLT Biochemistry
Duration of Course:
2 Years
Eligibility:
- A pass in B.Sc MLT/BMLT course from institutions affiliated to RGUHS, or from other Universities considered equivalent by RGUHS.
- A candidate who has completed B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to join for M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology respectively.
- Candidates passing B.Sc MLT through correspondence course shall not be eligible.
- No candidate shall be admitted for the postgraduate degree course unless the candidate has obtained and produced the eligibility certificate issued by the university. The candidate has to make the application to the university with the following documents along with the prescribed fee.
- Pass / degree certificate issued by the university.
- Marks cards of all the university examinations passed.
- Migration certificate.
- Proof of SC/ST or category- I as the case may be.
- Candidates should obtain the eligibility certificate before the last date for admission as notified by the university.
Admission M.Sc MLT Microbiology
Duration of Course:
2 Years
Eligibility:
- A pass in B.Sc MLT course from institutions affiliated to RGUHS, or from other Universities considered equivalent by RGUHS.
- A candidate who has completed B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to join for M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology respectively.

Duration of Course:
2 Years (4 Semesters)
Eligibility:
- A pass in B.Sc MLT course from institutions affiliated to RGUHS, or from other Universities considered equivalent by RGUHS.
- A candidate who has completed B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to join for M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology respectively.
- Candidates passing B.Sc MLT through correspondence course shall not be eligible.

- How to procure the prospectus and application form?
- The prospectus and the application form can be either downloaded from the website or can be obtained free of cost from the college.
- Are the admissions open through out the year?
- Although the admissions are open through out the year, you can book your seats in advance thereby avoiding last minute disappointment.
- What is the last date for the submission of the application form?
- Admissions are going on now. Complete the formalities as soon as possible.
- What is the fees structure for the course?
- For B.Sc Medical Lab Technology- Fees: Registration- Rs.10,000/- (SAARC countries Rs. 15,000/-) Fees: Tuition- Rs. 60,000/- per year
- For M.Sc Medical Lab Technology- Fees: Registration- Rs. 10,000/- (SAARC countries Rs. 15,000/-) Fees: Tuition- Rs. 75,000/- per year

- What are the documents that we should submit at the time of admission?
- The students seeking admission should submit the below mentioned certificates in original as it is required to verify the eligibility and to approve admission to the course by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
- For Indians seeking admission to B.Sc Medical Lab Technology- Marks card of Secondary Education (10th standard), Marks card of Higher Secondary Education (12th standard), Transfer Certificate issued by the concerned university, Migration Certificate issued by the concerned university, Date of Birth Certificate.
- For students from SAARC countries seeking admission to B.Sc Medical Lab Technology- Marks card of 10th, 11th, and 12th standards, Transcript, Nationality Certificate, Citizenship Certificate and Character Certificate. For students seeking admission to M.Sc Medical Lab Technology- in addition to the above mentioned certificates the students need to furnish their Degree Marks Card and Degree Certificate.
- Is there lateral entry for admission to B.Sc Medical Lab Technology?
- Yes, students who have completed Diploma in Medical Lab Technology can take lateral entry into IInd Year B.Sc Medical Lab Technology.
- Do you have hostel facility, if so what is the fees?
- We do have separate hostel facility for boys and girls. Upon admission to the hostel the students have to pay Rs. 10,000/- (nonrefundable) and there on Rs. 4,000/- per month for food and accommodation.
- Do the students go for any clinical postings?
- Our students go for clinical postings for a period of 30 days each in their IInd and IIIrd year of B.Sc MLT and M.Sc MLT at the following hospitals/ diagnostic centers-

- Our students go for clinical postings for a period of 30 days each in their IInd and IIIrd year of B.Sc MLT and M.Sc MLT at the following hospitals/ diagnostic centers-
- Does the institute help the students in procuring bank loan?
- On request, the students will be issued a Bonafide Certificate with estimated expenditure. This can be used for processing a bank loan from any Nationalized Bank in India.

- As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will play an important role in interdisciplinary health care teams. You might work in a medical lab in a hospital or clinic, where you will be involved in the day to day processes of providing quality patient care.
